Weekend Camping
After a flash of inspiration, the girlfriend and I decided to do a spot of last minute camping on Saturday/Sunday. After a brief search on "The Net" we found a nice campsite near Glencoe in Scotland called Caolasnacon Caravan Park. Typing the address into TomTom on my iPaq and 30 minutes later we were motoring.
On arrival it became apparent that we'd been a bit hasty with our departure having forgotten several pieces of vital camping kit... chairs, bottle opener, matches, food, loo roll, booze...damn damn damn. TomTom to the rescue again as it quickly found us a "local" shop in nearby Ballachulish (bala-who-lish)
After stocking up on supplies, pitching the tent and cracking a beer I set about cooking food. Mmmm sausages. After lunch we were approached by another camping group for a friendly five-a-side softball match, followed by swing ball and frisbee chucking, so all in all a great laugh.
In the evening myself and a few other "blokes" built a ruddy great campfire, one of the guys emerged with a guitar and a cracking evening of drinking and singing ensued.
Next morning, a bit of further deft TomTom wrangling and we had a casual route home through a number of scenic villages.
I forgot my SLR camera but had my trusty Fuji point n shoot and got a few nice shots.
